Construction Companies - Operate with two basic leadership styles; wait until an urgent situation occurs and jump up and react like a firefighter only with a chaotic-neurotic twist; or develop business processes that allow the company to respond calmly and direct resources and solutions to the issues like a traffic police officer doing it with ease and grace. No pressure, no worries.
In Some Cases - You may be better off outsourcing to a professional construction labor service like Madden Industrial Craftsmen especially when you consider the cost of a bad hiring decision.

Over The Past 30+ Years - I have accumulated a variety of terms to describe the construction industry. Some of them are intended to be funny, some are serious and the rest are entertaining. Please treat them accordingly.
If You Have - Any others you would like to share please leave a comment below
80/20 Rule – 80% of a contractor’s wealth and wellbeing comes from 20% of their activities
24 Hour Bookkeeper - Bookkeeper that sits in your office quietly, no watering, no feeding, available to work around the clock, never wastes company time surfing the web or chatting on cell phone
Developed By Bruce Henderson - For the Boston Consulting Group in 1968 to help corporations analyze business units or product lines. It helps companies allocate resources and is used as an analytical tool in brand marketing, product management, strategic management.

You May Think Otherwise - After reading this because it may not seem as good an idea as you first thought. In addition to the costs of advertising, reading a lot of fiction stories (resume's), interviewing candidates (like a brand new car on the showroom floor), job-seekers are the best they will ever be during the interview. After that it is all downhill and the only question is how fast.
*Bohunk Bob - Is one of the best construction business owners I have ever met. He is honest and a man of high integrity. If Bohunk tells you he will do something you can count on him to follow through because he believes in life you either produce reasons or results; and reasons don't count.
