Huge Construction Company Profit Increases Are From Tiny Changes

Posted by Sharie DeHart on Wed, Jun 19, 2013

Fast Easy Accounting has numerous FREE downloadable Forms for every contractor around the world to use. Click here

We are happy to be able to offer free Invoice templates, free Change Order templates and free estimate templates to construction contractors and other business owners to help them grow their sales and profits and have better lives for their families.

Contractors and other business owners have come from a local level (Washington State), national level (across the USA), and internationally including Canada, Australia, UK, India, South Africa and many other countries around the world.

Business success is starting with one little tiny change at a time and then adding another and another and another doing it in such a gradual process it doesn’t seem overwhelming.

Changes start to add up and over the course of a year it can be a lot. Tiny changes like adding a simple one page website, voicemail, mapping your email to your cell phone and accepting credit card payments can make a huge impact on your bottom line profits.

Each one is just a little thing, a tiny process improvement that helps you be more efficient, have more cash flow and a better life. Several years ago Fast Easy Accounting only did business with clients located in Washington State, with improved processes and cloud solutions we now have clients all over the USA.

We would like to think of everyone who visits the Fast Easy Accounting website as a friend. As friends we exchange emails and ideas to assist one another. Occasionally, we chat with friends and associates in Canada and the UK. Our niche remains Construction Contractors located across the USA and some processes are not practical in other parts of the world outside of the USA.

As Construction Accountants our core focus is the accounting processes, Sales Income, Expense, Net Income, COGS and the Profit and Loss. With good accounting a construction contractor can determine which jobs are profitable, which ones are not and why. The object is to do more of the “Profitable Ones” and less of the “Bargain Tuesday Unprofitable” jobs.

Change Orders are a huge source of new profit. Too often contractors are too busy trying to get the job done they miss a lot of opportunities for increasing sales, profits and most important cash flow. Capturing loose profits by writing up change orders and collecting job deposits can make a big impact to the bottom line profits. Click here to learn more...

Many of my brand new contractors (and seasoned ones too) are trying to use a Shoebox, other web based online software and are working their way up to QuickBooks.  I am here to help you understand so you can make informed choices for your business based on where you are now and where you want to go.  Understanding the Who, What, When, Where And Why of the individual process is the answer.

Business Hours 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (PST)

I am available to till 7:00 PM (ish) most days

Staying late allows our clients to drop in as part of a loop at the end of their day. A couple clients find it is easier (faster) for me to pull reports / cut checks / stuff them while they work on bids / make phone calls / etc.....and we chat about management stuff......

Mornings:  I usually start making outbound phone calls at 10:00 AM - use mornings as a flex time.....

Answering emails. As someone who also has a home office, it could be any time after midnight and before dawn (my time) that I will respond to your email…only our active clients receive new emails that early.

I hope you have downloaded and have been using forms from Fast Easy Accounting.com

Being on the phone most of the day is one of my favorite activities. I’ll Call You - When is a good for you?  Let me know a good day / time. (PST)  Looking forward to our discussion about your business challenges.

We are here to help “A Little” or “A Lot” depending on your needs.
