A Place For Contractors And Those Who Support Contractors To Share Valuable Insights, Experiences, Challenges, Successes And Best Practices From Their Experience In The Wide Wonderful World Of Construction.

SnoKing Contractors Meeting Room

Our Meeting Room

SnoKing Contractors MasterMind Group is for contractors to meet in an informal setting to brainstorm and share best practices to raise everyone's standard of living at The SnoKing Contractors Center.

Every contractor has insights and understandings about a specific phases of construction that seem like “No Brainer” and “Everybody Knows That” that if shared can unleash massive power!

Q: What happens when a few trustworthy contractors shared those insights with each other?

A: “The rising tide raises all ships”

The economy has been challenging and may continue that way for a while. This is not the first time contractors have dealt with economic uncertainty and it will not be the last.

The good news is, and there is always good news, there are always forward thinking, get the job done, no nonsense, no excuses, failure is not an option, pro-active contractors that see opportunity in any situation. They are like the sailors on the sea a hundred years ago who knew they could not control the wind but they could control the direction of the ship by adjusting the sails.

We see signs of economic recovery among our accounting clients RIGHT NOW! because the successful ones are:

  • Developing formal documented Business Plans and Marketing Plans
  • Examining their existing systems and the way things are being done
  • Getting real clear about who are the good and bad customers
  • Getting their bookkeeping, accounting and job costing setup
  • Getting enough work to think about growing their business

Three Kinds Of Contractor Planning Strategies:

  • $$$...Those contractors that plan ahead and make things happen
  • $$...Those contractors that want to plan but just can't find enough time
  • $....Those contractors that don't know what happened but they are busy

These Are Trying Times And It Will Pass

In the late 1960's I was in Seattle during the Boeing bust and the highways were barren, houses were vacant and you couldn't give them away

Somewhere it is written "This too shall pass" it did and here is what happened!

  • Construction rebounded rather more quickly than expected
  • Shortage of qualified skilled construction labor pushed wages up
  • Pro-active forward thinking general contractors and specialty contractors made money
  • Reactive contractors without a plan or a support group were left standing by the road wide eyed, stupid and broke!

In the late 1970's when the prime interest rate was tickling 18%+ and real estate was not selling because not enough people could afford the payment. A number of spec builders gave up, through in the towel, went to the bank that was financing the constuction, tossed the keys on the bankers desk and walked away.

Today in the early 2010's we are experiencing a similar situation with real estate sales sluggish, some spec builders gave up, quite a few good men and women who choose construction as their career are having a tough time right now.

Somewhere it is written "This too shall pass" it will!

  • Construction will rebound rather more quickly than expected
  • Shortage of qualified skilled construction labor will push wages up
  • Pro-active forward thinking general contractors and specialty contractors will make a lot of money
  • Reactive contractors without a plan or a support group will be left standing by the road wide eyed, stupid and broke!

You can do whatever you want and if you want to prepare for the good times that are coming, now is the time to get on board!
